Surfing, Apple Bay, Tortola British Virgin Islands

This is surfers favorite time of the year for surfing.  I took these pictures at Apple Bay Tortola BVI.  Another favorite spot is Josiah's Bay.  If I get chance later, I will drive down there and see if I can get some more pictures.  I remembered to change my flash settings to none to get the rich-true colors of the beach.

Leaking Hose

I am really enjoying taking pictures of water drops close up.  It is very interesting and it is really fascinating me!

Caribbean Roosters

Isn't he lovely??? I took these pictures during my lunch hour today!!! He was just looking to see if I would throw out any food for him but I disappointed him because I was only taking pictures of him!  I realized I made a mistake though, it was a beautiful day and my camera was set to automatic flash.  I should have changed the settings to no flash.  As you will notice the color of the grass is looking a bit whitey.  I think without the flash the color would have looked more greener.

Photo Of Water Fountain - Not Satisfied

I was looking forward to taking these pictures of this water fountain but I am not too please with my results.  Maybe next time.  I wanted to get close but I did not to take the chance of my camera getting wet.  Photo taken at the botanical gardens, Tortola, British Virgin Islands

Proud Mother

This is my daughter, she is presently studying in the Caribbean island - Trinidad but she paid me a visit for the Christmas holidays, in Tortola British Virgin Islands.  She looks so pretty in these pictures.  My son is a handsome young man but it is very difficult to take pictures of him.  He either turns his back or make funny faces.

Parrots - How I Take Photos Through The Fence

These are some more pictures that I took at the Botanic Gardens through the fence.  My only problem is that I was not able to get a closer shot of the birds.

Turtle

I took this picture at the Botanic Garden. This turtle proceeded to approach me and I thought he was being friendly but then I realized that he was hungry and wanted to see if I had anything to eat.  Unfortunately I did not.

You Choose

I took these pictures at dusk yesterday which one do you prefer?  I am a sucker for sunsets so I really like the first one.

Moth

Apparently moths are very deep sleepers.  I positioned myself very close to this insect to get these close up shots and it did not budge.  I guess it could not have been bothered by my presence.

Rain drops on glass

I took these pictures from the inside of my vehicle, my aim was to focus on the rain drops on the windows. I feel blessed that I have this gift for love of photography, to me it gives me the opportunity to 'see' things the we take for granted.

Water Art

Today I found myself not having any pictures to post so I took a friend's advise, to take the simplest thing around me and make art out of it.  So I went to my bathroom and took pictures of the water dripping from my shower head and believe me, I had lots of fun doing it!  I took about 40 pictures and I like this one the best!  Bottom line, you don't have to go very far to make art!!!

Glass or not

I took this picture through the glass from the cinema complex and I am impressed.  Does not look like there was any glass between myself and the field.

School Is Closed - How I Took Photos Through The Fence

I was amazed at home great this photo came out. I took it through the fence and you can barely see the fence. It is a pity that I did not take note of the blog that I got this tip from. It is a great tip!!

Candy in a pod

This is actually a wild flower that I found outside my house.  Actually it is a pod that bloomed open to expose these candy looking seeds.  I did not realize how pretty this flower was until I took pictures of it.
