R.I.P Ms Buddha The Cat

Just sharing some old photos I took of my friend Buddha.  I called her Ms. Buddha, she was my friend's cat! I just found out that she transitioned.  I feel so honored that she allowed me to take these awesome close up photos of her.  When I first met her she used to run away from me then gradually I think she got accustomed to me.

She died on December 11, 2018.
Rest in peace my friend!!

Long Bay Beach Beef Island British Virgin Islands

Since after hurricane Irma in 2017 passengers from cruise ships are now taken to Long Bay Beach Beef Island to enjoy the sun and the lovely beach.  Amenities such as toilet and shower facilities are now available.  Vendors are only operating when the cruise ships are in town.

Trinidad And Tobago Currency - Fifties

Its not every day that you see a Trinidad and Tobago fifty dollar bill!  On my recent trip to Trinidad - 2018, I was so excited to receive one. I had one before but I ended up spending it.  This time I will be holding on to this one for a very long time.  It is so lovely!  This is the front of the note with the hibiscus flower and the coat of arms.  The next photo is of the back of the note with images of a carnival masquerader and the twin towers where the  Central Bank is located.

This next photo is of a Trinidad and Tobago fifty cents coin.  This coin is another piece that is not seen on a regular basis.  My mother gave this to me a few weeks ago.  She knows that it is a rare find.  The image on the front of the coin is of a steel band.

This is the back of the coin with the Trinidad and Tobago coat of arms

Green Grasshopper

I set an intention to see a sign that what i want to manifest is in my reality.  The next morning  saw this cricket.  I went back to sleep and was later awaken by the sound of my mother quarreling and like she was trying to kill something - the cricket.  She succeeded.  I was saddened.  Fortunately my son-in-law had chance to take these photos.

My 5 Weeks Old Grandson

My family and I had breakfast at a restaurant called First Bite Bistro, Curepe, Trinidad.  While waiting on our meal, I took this photo of my 5 weeks old grandson.  So adorable.  Having his mother put her finger under my grandson's chin, added some dimension to the photo!

Trip To Anegada British Virgin Islands

This photo of my son was taken, with my Nikon D60 DSLR camera, around 2011 on our trip to Anegada British Virgin Islands.  My husband, son, daughter-in-law, her mother and her cousin made.  We took a ferry from Beef Island to get to Anegada British Virgin Islands.  My son rented a pick up and were on our way to a restaurant to have lunch.  It was a beautiful fun day.

Fresh Pigeon Peas

I just found this old photo that I took in 2012 as you can see on the water mark.  Absolutely amazing photo of fresh pigeons peas. We have since stopped planting these peas because sheep would come by and eat the plants.

Flowering Basil Plant

My New Canon EOS M100 Camera Review

I had to get a desire for a new camera for a while now and initially my intention was to get a white Canon A5100.  Why a white one?  I just found that it looked so cool even though in one video review, the reviewer said that the camera got dirty quite quickly.

As the time grew closer when I was able to get a new camera, I did more research and found out that the Canon A5100 over heats after using it for a few minutes.  This was also confirmed by one of my fellow Trinidadian YouTubers.  So I decided to look for another camera that has the same features as the Canon A5100 - a flip up screen, compact camera, auto focuses and record videos.

I have a Nikon D60 but it does not have a video recording feature.  A popular Youtuber recommended the Canon EOS M100 camera and the reviews were generally good so I purchased a bundle from Amazon. In the bundle there was a mini tripod, camera bag, macro filters, filters, lens pen, and the box with Canon EOS M100 Camera.

In the camera box, it had a camera strap, 15-45mm lens, battery, battery charger and of course a manual.

I am very happy with my purchase.  I am already seeing the difference in my videos.  They are of better quality.  One of my subscribers even noticed the difference in quality and asked me about it.

It has a time lapse feature which is super cool.  I have already taken a few time lapse footage and plan to take some more.  it is not as bulky as my Nikon DSLR and I can change the lens whenever I want to.  I recently traveled to Trinidad and Tobago, my home country, and put my camera in a cross body baby which is not that big.

One thing though, when I am using the flip screen to record a video of myself, I tend to look at the flip up screen instead of looking into the lens.  The end result is you will see me looking up instead of looking at the camera.  I have to work on that.

The audio is excellent but it does not have a port for an external mic which I think is not needed.

Trellis Bay BVI After Hurricane Irma

I took this photo early in 2018 when I returned to the BVI.  Location:  Trellis Bay, Beef Island, British Virgin Islands.  To the right you can see a damaged dock where the North Sound Express ferry use to anchor their boat and pick up passengers.

In the middle of the photo on the left,  you will see another dock what was recently  installed.  It a floating dock.

The coconut tree is now beginning to grown back some new branches.

Amazing Clouds In The Sky

I love this photo.  I took it while I was in a private jet on my way to Piarco International airport Trinidad.  This was just a few days after hurricane Irma struck the BVI and other Caribbean Islands September 2017.

I felt at peace just looking at these amazing clouds and knowing that everything will be alright.  I invite you to check out my video, below, in which I share how I traveled from Tortola British Virgin Islands to Trinidad and Tobago.

It's A Boy!!!

My daughter received a bouquet of flowers today with a balloon (for the birth of her first baby boy) and attached to the balloon was this ribbon!

Peace In The Sky

This is my son's photo of himself in a jet traveling to North Carolina.  Awesome photo!  It reminds of the photo (below) I took of him on our trip to Anegada, BVI in 2010.

This delicious cup cake was made for my daughter's baby shower which was held on Sunday August 19, 2018.  Overall this photo looks good but the icing on the top of the cake does not look 100% focused!

Young Pine Cones

When my family and I lived in Arima, Trinidad, we had a large pine tree in our yard.  I remember the sounds it made when it was windy and the smell from the pine.  The tree in this photo, is located in the yard of the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, St. Joseph, Trinidad

Close Up Photos Taken With Macro Filters

I took these awesome macro photos with three macro filters (+1, +4, +10) attached to my camera lens!  Great news, I got a new camera - a Canon M100!!!  I am so excited to share this news!  A unboxing and review will be coming soon so look out for it.

I decided to hold back on getting photos for my pandora jewelry haul video because I wanted to get close up shots of the charms like these.  I am not disappointed.  But I notice that I had to attached the macro filters to get these results!  I purchased the camera as a bundle and the filters are part of the bundle.

Seaweed Harvester Trellis Bay Beef Island BVI

Old Pay Toll Booth By Queen Elizabeth Island Bridge, Tortola, British Virgin Islands

This old Pay Toll Booth was located on Tortola by the Queen Elizabeth  Bridge.  We were required to pay a bridge toll here before crossing the bridge to go to Beef Island.  This hut has since been blown away during hurricane Irma.
