Chicken Hawk



We call this bird Chicken Hawk, do you know another name for them?  I saw this beauty outside my apartment a few days ago. Am very pleased with this photo!

  3. Martina, this is also a fantastic picture of chicken hawk. I don't think that we have this bird in the Northern Utah. You captured it so wonderfully. It seems that this bird is so alert. Looking for food?...

    This is the first time I observed this bird resting on the electical wire. I normally would see them on a light pole. I guess he was on the look out for food.

  6. Yes, we have a small hawk just like it called a Kestrel. I believe it is in the falcon family. Wonderful set of images. I like birds.
