This couple was enjoying the ambiance of the beach and the sunset. What a lovely evening it was at Apple Bay, British Virgin Islands. In the background (upper right hand side) you can see some surfers waiting for a wave.

Preparing For Beach Wedding In British Virgin Islands
I work at a private villa resort and one of the services that is offered is beach wedding. We make all the arrangements for the couple so they don't have to worry about a thing. On Wednesday last, we had to set up for a wedding and this picture is of one of my co-workers setting up an arbour. The wedding started at 5:30pm and it consisted of the couple, the pastor and his wife, my boss and I (we were witnesses). It was a very small and magical wedding.
I had the privilege to see the wedding pictures and they were just magnificent. My favorite were the ones taken with the beach and sun setting for the background. They were just breath taking!

Bird Watching, Josiah's Bay, Tortola British Virgin Islands
About two Saturdays ago, my husband and I went to a bird watching (Josiah's Bay, East End, Tortola British Virgin Islands) spot that is owned by some friends of ours. Actually, they live close to a pond and some of the birds use the mangrove trees to hide and make their young ones. My friends took this opportunity and they feed the birds so the birds get familiar to this and are always close by.
The first picture of the bird was the closest I could get. It did not come on the landing for any of the corn so I was not able to get a close up. It was quite pretty (the little I saw of it) - had a light blue beak.

Surf Dudes, Apple Bay, Tortola British Virgin Islands
These are some more pictures that I took that day earlier on in the year - surfing season, and I thought that I lost the pictures. There were alot of surfers around and I had a 'field day'. I even asked two guys who had just arrived, if I could take their pictures and they said okay. I felt like a real professional photographer!!!

Healey's Favorite Beach, Beef Island, British Virgin Islands
This is my friend and boss, she took me to visit her dog's favorite beach. She calls it Healey's beach after the dog. We had a blast of a time. It was a simple walk until she decided to take me hiking over some gigantic rocks. I am physically out of shape but I made it even though I got a bit dehydrated and my friend had to run back to the house (which was not far) to get me some water. She was so patient and attentive. She is a wonderful human being - photogenic too! Thanks my friend!
This is Healey! She just loves the water, she swam, chase some goats (which we did not see), had a good roll in the sand - she just had an awesome time!

Bartender At Bomba Shack, Capoons Bay, Tortola British Virgin Islands
I am so excited about these pictures. You see I took them about 2 months ago and I thought that I lost them. I found them by accident them yesterday and was so elated! It was beautiful surfing day that day and I took almost 100 pictures! Well of course I can't post all so I chose the best one - which was a task because to me they all look good.

This young lady was serving at the bar - Bomba Shack - located on Apple Bay, Tortola BVI. This is a favorite beach for surfers, at the early parts of the year when the waves are larger than usual.

I ordered and drink and asked the bartender for her picture and the posed for me!!! I think she is from Guyana. Here she is serving guest on the right. Bomba Shack is a very shacky looking place but it is a hang spot that is a 'must see' for tourist.

Praying Mantis
It has been a while since I have seen a Praying Mantis. Looks like it is a very young one because it is very small.

More Thorns
In this last post the thorns in this picture looked dangerous but these look even more dangerous. I guess they are the same type of thorns but the difference is that these are older and the ones in the last post are the younger thorns.

Butterfly
I was so excited when I saw this butterfly just sitting on this leaf. I felt special as I was able to get close and the butterfly a did not move. As I proceeded to take the pictures, I found it strange that the butterfly stayed 'put' and did not move. Then I touched it nd realized that it was dead!!! I was sad.
