What do you think?

I was trying to be creative with this picture - take a picture of the landscape through the side mirror of my vehicle. What do you think?  Any suggestions?

Star Shaped Thorns On My Sneakers

I went hiking today and when I returned to my vehicle I found these little thorns were stuck onto my sneakers.  In Trinidad and Tobago we call them 'picka'.  They look like little stars with thorns.  As I was walking through the bushes, they stuck onto my sneakers.

Bug Fes

I was taking pictures of the cotton plants today and I saw these bugs having a feast on one of the cotton pods.  Apparently it is their favorite snack??!!

Dingy

For my birthday on 25th February, I took the ferry to St. Thomas USVI.  As I was waiting to board the ferry this young man drove by on this dingy and was chatting with a friend of his who was also waiting for the ferry.  As the ferry was getting ready to park closer to the jetty for us to board, this young had to move and he was having some problems starting the dingy.  It was at that moment I quickly pulled out my camera and took a few pictures.

Cotton plant

This is a rare sight.  I found this plant growing wild near the airport.  It reminds me of the slavery days, the slaves had to manually pick the cotton off the pods.

Dangerous thorns

This is wild bush and contain some dangereous thorns.  I always look out for them when I to hiking because they can give some nasty cuts.  Also when I am driving in an area that is not well 'groomed', I look out for these bushes because they can leave scratches on my vehicle.
